Major Matthew "Bubba" Worrell '94

Memorial Sul Ross Scholarship

Given by

The Many Friends of Major Matthew “Bubba” Worrell ’94

Matt's dedication, service, and sacrifice has inspired us at the Short Bus to perpetuate his legacy at Aggieland.

Since Matt's death Tailgating Crew members and their friends have contributed in excess of $25,000 to the Texas A&M Foundation to endow the Major Matthew "Bubba" Worrell '94 Memorial Sul Ross Scholarship. This endowment will perpetuate a 2 year scholarship that will be awarded to a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Matt was a proud member of the Corps, Company L-1, and was very active in many student activities. Through this gift we hope to ensure future generations of Aggies can aspire to be leaders like Matt.

The Tailgating Crew wishes to express their deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making this scholarship possible. We know many donors knew Matt by reputation only and we appreciate their recognition of Matt's service and sacrifice.

We have reached the level required to endow the Sul Ross Scholarship but donations made in Matt's memory can still be made to the Texas A&M Foundation. These contributions can continue to accrue and reach the next level of giving such as the $50,000 General Rudder Scholarship.

Donations can be mailed directly to the Texas A&M Foundation and checks should be made out to TEXAS A&M FOUNDATION with the note "MATTHEW 'BUBBA' WORRELL". All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. The gifts are also eligible for corporate or matching gift programs. If you have any questions about such programs please call our friend, Brian Hervey '92 at the Texas A&M Foundation. His number is 979-458-1689

Thank you for considering your part in contributing to the legacy of this Aggie Hero.

Thank You,

Cody C. Scogin '90
